To a Prospective Student,
This letter is being written by a current student of the Our Generation Training Center, to any person who is interested in becoming a student and what said person can expect to do and learn.
You can expect to learn a lot about missions. As a college who places priority on sending men and women to the mission field, one can assuredly expect that missions would be highly emphasized. You can expect to learn from veteran missionaries, missionaries on their way to the field and full time ministers. Not only will you learn from veterans of the field, you will also be able to put your knowledge into practice at our local church and the community surrounding it. Students are encouraged to reach the community, and teach others about the Bible (II Timothy 2:2). You will learn how to study the Bible, how to preach/teach the Bible, and most importantly; how to grow in our personal relationship with Christ.
The classes go from 8-12 from Tuesday-Thursday, and 9-1 on friday. From Tuesday-Thursday we will have one teacher teaching one subject for either one or two weeks, on Friday we sit in a group with Pastor Austin Gardner and ask questions about missions, deputation, theology, any subject that pertains to the Bible and missions. The classes continue year round, and can be completed in two years. During this time all students must preach and or teach one hundred times, and must complete a six month internship before graduation.
So if you are looking to get the best training for the field look no further than The Our Generation Training Center.
