Nehemiah 9:17 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
God is a gracious, merciful, kind, and forgiving God. That was the testimony during this worship service in Nehemiah’s day. They were worshiping God because they knew what He had done for them.
The fact of the matter is this: God hasn’t changed. He is still gracious, merciful, kind and forgiving. And His kindness is not just to “some” people in this world. God has shown his grace to everyone. The problem today is that there is not much worshiping going on. There isn’t a lot of praising going on. There are places around the world that have never heard about what Jesus has done for them. There are people who have never even heard the name of Jesus. How are they supposed to praise when they don’t know? It is our duty as believers to tell others of what Jesus has done for them. I know more would praise Him if they would knew what Jesus has done for them.
