Is the OGTC Accredited?
How much is Tuition?
Tuition is $250/mo. and students will be responsible for their own housing and food. Housing for single students living in the OGTC provided apartments cost approximately $250.00 to $300.00 per month. These prices are based on the current apartment rent and monthly utilities. The price includes all utilities with the exception of telephone expenses.
The weekly class schedule is such that will allow students ample time to work and earn money to offset the expense of their education.
Can women attend?
Yes, we encourage women to apply. The OGTC is for training missionaries and church-planters, and women have a vital role. We are complementarian but also believe that women should be theologically and practically trained for the ministry. Women will develop a mentorship relationship with women associated with the OGTC.
Will the OGTC accept transfer credits?
The OGTC is uniquely designed in practice and philosophy so we cannot grant transfer credit.
Do I need a college degree?

Are you interested in cross-cultural church-planting ministry? Would you like training and instruction specific to these unique challenges? The OGTC is designed as a mentorship based program and we are looking for students that are teachable and desirous to be helped.
Are there internships available?
Yes. All our courses are on a modular rotation, so a student desiring to come for a short term are able. You can indicate that you are interested in an internship on the application.

What does it mean that the OGTC is “Church-based”?
We believe that ministry should be done in direct connection with a local church and thus the program is designed to teach and train in that context. We do not require that you become a member of Vision Baptist, but the ministries that you are involved in will be connected with Vision Baptist.
What does it mean that the OGTC is a mentorship program?
We model our philosophy of ministry on what Jesus did with his disciples. He spent an enormous amount of intense time with them for 3 years preparing them for every situation in the ministry that they would face.
Who administrates and teaches at the OGTC?
The president is Austin Gardner, Director is Robert Canfield, and the classes are taught by a combination of VBC staff and current missionaries home on furlough.
What does the typical applicant look like?
We do not have a typical applicant. We have a great variety of students from former pastors to high school graduates.
Can I plan a visit to the OGTC?
That would be great. We would encourage you to visit on a Friday morning for a group session that lasts from 9am-1pm.
